71 Editable End of Year Awards

student awards perfect fo end of year

Love it or hate it (and by now most of us will love it!), we’re coming to the end of the semester. As the time comes when we look forward to a long and well-deserved break, we should also not forget to look back on the year, and all we have achieved.

I always like to use the end of this semester as a time to celebrate what we’ve done, and there’s no better way to back the little angels feel special than to have an end-of-year classroom award ceremony! I prepare individual ‘Certificates of Achievement’ for each of the children and make it so that these certificates fit with the character and traits they’ve shown throughout the long school year. Furthermore, I try to make them feel that little bit more special by awarding them during a fancy ceremony in our classroom! Ok, it’s not the Oscars, but from the looks on their faces it’s just as special 🙂

Diverse and Fun

First off, let’s keep things diverse and fun. There are a total of 71 awards to choose from. I am sure you’ll find more than enough choice for your group. The awards go beyond the usual ‘Helping Hand’ or ‘Heart of Gold’ awards – though they are of course included! Have some fun by awarding your talkative little one with the ‘Chatter Box’ award, or present your rambunctious rascal with the ‘Ball of Energy’ award… if you can keep him or her still for long enough to hand it over, that is!

Editable Awards

You might want to print the pages off and fill the awards in by hand. If that’s your way, then a .pdf file is included for that reason. You may, however, want to change the font or size, and to enter the student’s name, teacher’s name and date. If so, use the editable PPT file. Whatever you choose, I am sure you’ll love the preparation and the award ceremony. It really is a celebration for one and all.

Save Paper and Ink

end of year awards mini

Regular readers will know I have written a lot recently about being kinder to the planet and trying to be a better global citizen. With that in mind, don’t forget that it can save both paper and ink to print multiple pages at a time. You can even print the awards slightly smaller. The meaning and impact for the students will still be just as grand! I have also seen examples where teachers have paired the giving of the award with a small gift, like a pencil or a cookie, though this is of course up to you.

Keepsake

Here is how you can use this product to give the students an event to remember:

…and what good is an event to remember, if it’s quickly forgotten about? That’s right: the students are able to take these awards home and they can become a keepsake. Who knows… maybe a parent will even pop it in a frame and hang it on a bedroom or a playroom wall. Getting an award is something to be proud of, after all!
